He plundered 854 runs in 7 Ranji matches in 2006-07 to top the batting charts.

First-class debut: Karnataka v Haryana,Faridabad, 2002-03 (scored 40 in his only innings off just 32 balls with 6 fours and a six).

Domestic one-day debut: Karnataka v Andhra, Bangalore, 2002-03 (scored 61 off just 42 balls with 10 fours and a six)

ODI debut: India v England, Indore, 2005-06 (scored 86 off 96 balls with 12 fours and a six)

Robin Uthappa was a member of the India under-19 team that won the Asia Cup in 2003-04.

He came into limelight when he scored a brilliant 66 for India B against India A in the Challenger Trophy in Mumbai in 2004-05 against an attack that comprised Zaheer Khan, RP Singh and Murali Kartik.

Made a match-winning 78-ball hundred (116 off 93 balls) for India B against India A in the Challenger Series in Mohali in 2005-06 against VRV Singh, RP Singh and L Balaji, racing from 61 to 100 in just 15 balls.

Uthappa is the leading run-scorer in Ranji Trophy this season.
